It’s that of the time year when you look back at the last few months, wonder how time flew by, and feel that nostalgia kicking in. That’s me every year, nothing unusual happening here. Haha.

This time though, I am very excited to pen down a glimpse of my year. 2022 has been a total tutor for me in all the good and bad ways. I am not 22 so it’s not maturity hitting me hard. It’s the adulthood and its harsh truths that can turn your world upside down that’s been a game changer, not always in the good ways.

It’s been a year of unbelievable achievements too. This is the year rad came into being, a dream I was afraid to see but determined to achieve. This is the year I found the best team ever, won amazing projects, attended international conferences, and so much more. 2022 was the year it all fell into place.

But it is also the year when I learned to live with broken trust and betrayed friendships. A year of seeing friends leave, friends turning into foes, friends stabbing your back, friends proving they were never friends, and friends showing me what not to do in friendship. A year where ex-bosses and colleagues acted like the worst enemies, something I could not have thought about even on my worst days. But I have learned to not be bitter about it and this year has taught me how to keep going, no matter who leaves the ride.

2022 has been awakening, to say the least. Running a company is harder than I thought. Making a good team and retaining them is a whole different story. Meanwhile, fighting everyone who is trying to push you to the ground, without fighting them – let’s not talk about it.

A little takeaway for 2023. I will learn to grow dead to noises. The ones that distract you and kill your morale. The ones that do you no good. The motto is YOU DO YOU!
